The Laura Information Outlet is located in Hughes Street, the main street of Laura, a small town in the Southern Flinders region of South Australia. The centre is run by volunteers and aims to be open from 10am to 4pm every day.
The centre provides visitors and locals with holiday information for all of South Australia and Broken Hill, including when possible the particular local knowledge so helpful when visitors are here for the first time.
With the growing interest in locally produced food and drink, the centre specialises in local products. With the Golden North Ice Cream manufacturer just down the street, visitors can view a four minute video of the production line in action (and taste the delicious Giant Twins next door).
Walking guide and bus guide tours can be booked. There are local souvenirs and postcards as well as photocopying services.
Programs for the annual Laura Folk Fair and entry forms for the Folk Fair Art Exhibition are also available upon request via email in March each year.
