Annsleigh gardens, arboretum, and cafe south of Burnie feature beautiful flowers, trees, and delicious lunches.
The gardens were built up over approximately 30 years by local identities Pat and Lou Barrett. Set in green rolling pastureland less than 10 minutes south of the Cradle Coast Highway on the B18 Ridgley Highway that is a gateway from the North West Coast to Cradle Mountain, the Tarkine, and the Tasmanian West Coast. Stroll through two hectares of English style gardens featuring rhododendrons, cherry blossom, roses, fuchsias, tulips, daffodils, azaleas, wisteria, laburnum, and a range of other ornamental plants. Discover a surprise around every corner with rockeries, landscaped water features, fountains, and much more. Relax under the canopy of our mature trees including cedar, cypress, birch, elm, and more. Enjoy coffee and cake or a scrumptious hot lunch in the Licensed Cafe.
Visitors of any age, including the elderly, can sit and take in the beauty surrounding them. Wheelchair bound visitors can enjoy self-guided access to most of the Gardens, the Café and the toilets. Group bookings welcome.
