Explore the historic streets of Beechworth on a Beechworth Heritage Walking Tours. Local guides will give you an informative narrative of the history of the town and its characters. Two tours are available the Echoes of History and Ned Kelly walking tour. On the Echoes of History tour you will be immersed in time back to the gold mining days where you will hear stories of the miners, the Chinese settlement, the historic buildings and the story of Robert O'Hara Burke (of Burke & Wills fame). Back to the day of bushrangers the Ned Kelly walking tour will tell tales of Ned's connection to Beechworth, stories of his mother Mrs Kelly and of Ned's mentor Harry Power. Tours are daily departing from the Beechworth Visitor Information Centre.
